lkm hat in irgend einer diskussion mal gesagt, man höre das leben lang jene music, die man mit 20 hört. bei mir geht das ab und zu noch etwas weiter zurück. es müsste 1994 gewesen sein, als staudi und ich secret world live kauften. dieses unglaubliche live album von peter gabriel zog uns beide in seinen bann. in your eyes war von anfang an unser beider favorit. ein gewaltiger song, auch heute noch.
immer wieder lege ich dieses cd ein. denn seit ich peter gabriel im mai 2003 (front row!!! – bilder – article) und ein jahr später noch einmal (bilder) live gesehen habe, bin ich wohl endgültig ein fan. dass gabriel mit seinem realworld label auch noch enorm viel für den afrikanischen kontinent getan hat, macht die sache natürlich noch schöner.
nun habe ich auf youtube ein, wie ich finde, fantastisches live-video aus genf gefunden, wo der geniale youssou n’dour mitwirkt. wer sich lieber das originalvideo ansehen möchte wird hier fündig.
